Faisal Mekdad [2] is a Syrian diplomat and politician who has been Vice President of Syria since 2024. Between 2020 and 2024, he was also a Foreign Minister of Syria. He served as Syria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2003 until 2006.[3]
